Islands Location

 Sumatra Island: Is located Sumatra is located in the archipelago of the Greater Sunda Islands, to the west of Malaysia, the Strait of Malacca and the island of Borneo, to the west with the islands of Palau Siberut and Palau Nias, to the south with Christmas Island and the island of Java to the north with the Burma Sea and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This island of Southeast Asia belongs to Indonesia and is constituted as the largest island in this country. 


Borneo Island: The island is politically divided among three countries: Malaysia and Brunei in the north, and Indonesia to the south.  Approximately 73% of the island is Indonesian territory. In the north, the East Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak make up about 26% of the island. 


Java Island: Java, located between Sumatra and Bali, is an island with volcanoes in the geographic and economic center of Indonesia, and is home to more than half of its population. The largest city in Java is Jakarta, a modern and rapidly growing city, which is also the capital of the country.
