Currency

The rupee is the official currency of Indonesia. Its control and issuance are in charge of the Bank of Indonesia. Its ISO 4217 code is IDR and it is divided into 100 sen. Its symbol, used on all coins and bills, is Rp. The name derives from the Indian monetary unit.
